| President's Message |
Dear Network Ladies,
As the end of the year is nearing, I can’t help but reflect on this year. I often ask myself – what action did I make that would change someone’s life? I enjoyed reading Linda’s article in the last month’s newsletter. It spoke about our involvement in the non-profit sector of our community and contributions we make. There are many of us who are involved in a local organization that we believe in. We donate our time, expertise, and often money. I serve as a Vice President for Healing Reins Therapeutic Riding Center and have been a part of this organization for 6 years. I am honored to be a part of something bigger than my own world and excited about what I can contribute. I was also able to involve others in NEW during our fundraiser Diamonds and Dust in September, where many of the ladies graciously donated hundreds of dollars in products and services to support this great cause. I urge you to find out about ways you can help and contribute to a worthy cause and get involved immediately. There are many people in need in our community, and we can all make a difference with just a few hours or a few dollars per month.
If you are interested in learning more about non profits, please let me know and I may be able to point you in the right direction.

Meet Network Board Marketing Chair Andrea Wasilew-Larson, Strategic Director and Principal of Elure Marketing Group
At an early age, Andrea Wasilew-Larson learned the fine art of blending family and business from her parents. She and her Sister were given the opportunity to work for pay in their parents’ Northern Michigan Mini-Mart. “My big job was to help Mom bake the bread, make donuts and pies in the bakery. It was thrilling to help out with such an important job….and of course taste-test along the way. Customers could smell the aromas from down the street. The bakery was very popular I must say.” Andrea smiled proudly while describing the fond memory. “The experience of working at such a young age and growing up with entrepreneur parents gave us a life-long appreciation and inspiration for entrepreneurship, work-ethic and a drive to succeed.”
