Speaker - Glenna Rhodes

Glenna is the Adult Services Manager at Deschutes Public Library. Her expertise is in scanning for community trends to create relevant services that will enrich the lives of Deschutes county residents including small business entrepreneurs.
Her presentation will provide NEW members and visitors an awareness of free library resources to help us improve our businesses and our daily lives using a variety of online resources and services, which can be used from any Internet accessible computer day or night. She will demonstrate how using these resources can help us understand our business environment and adjust to changing demands. Her focus will include, how to identify our competitors and why that’s important,  discovering what is happening in our industry, learning how to track trends that are relevant to our business, how to identify local businesses who might be potential partners and much more.

Glenna received her BA in education from Boise State University and her MLS from Emporia State University in Kansas while living in Ashland, Oregon. Glenna has worked in libraries in Oregon and Idaho for over 30 years.
Glenna is an entrepreneur herself, which includes starting her own research business in 1997, working as a researcher for an Oregon manufacturing company, providing background research for  two books published by an Oregon teen author, and teaching classes about Internet and research skills to business executives, members of Boise State’s Osher Institute of Life Long Learning and to Emporia State graduate students.
Glenna’s Motto: Know More

About Network of Entrepreneurial Women

The strength of the Network comes from the diversity of our membership and an ability to share insights and techniques across industry boundaries. The broader our membership--the larger our resource base.

Our membership includes professionals from Central Oregon in an array of fields: retail sales, health care, banking and finance, high tech and computing, marketing, printing, real estate, law, insurance, personnel and business services--and many more.

Today, our organization--which has bolstered hundreds of women in their quest for achievement--continues to expand its scope and enhance its services.
